Kyoko Takeuchi

Artist Biography

Kyoko Takeuchi is a contemporary artist based in Atlanta, Georgia, renowned for her dynamic practice that blends live painting and immersive installation collaborations. In 2025, she received the Emerging Artist Award from the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, with a resulting exhibition at Chasten Park Arts Gallery.

Her work centers on visualizing emotion through bold, energetic pieces—from live painting performances at Chattahoochee Food Works (2023–2025) to interactive installations at Atlanta Fashion Week (Gallery Concept Orca, 2025). The collaborative exhibition "Chrysalis" (2024, The B Complex Gallery) with Lyrric Jackson Dance Company fused visual art and movement, creating a dialogue between mediums.

Her solo show "LIFE: The Golden Fleeting Life" (2024, Gallery Anderson Smith) explored the fragility of existence, earning recognition in Atlanta Magazine Home (2023) and Atlanta Flourish Digital Magazine (2024). Through these works, Takeuchi is carving a distinct presence in Atlanta’s evolving art landscape.
